“ They were behind in making some of our food and came to apologize and make it right! Such great service here! ”
“ My favorite place to take out of town visitors! Such a fun environment and decor, and always delicious food / drinks. I have tried so many of their tacos, and am amazed every time! As a vegetarian of over 5 years, i love that i can go in here and order anything i want, knowing it is safe for me to eat! Even my meat eating friends are hooked. All of their tacos are amazing, and if they have a special going- TRY IT! ”
“ Was in town visiting and so happy we found this place. Josie was behind the bar when we popped in and took great care of us. Definitely get the Quesabirria tacos. Loved that they had mocktails available. Looking for a fun spot with good vegan eats, definitely pop in. ”
“ Came here for dinner due to some recommendations. Ambiance is very cool, spooky like Halloween year round. Ordered the Fright flight and the Birria Duo. It wasn't too busy, but the order took about 25-30 minutes to get out. Granted, they may have been working on some take out orders, but it felt like a lot longer than it needed to be. Additionally, they gave me a birria bowl instead. This may have been a simple misunderstanding since duo and bowl can sound similar, but they offered to remake it for me. I declined, and they gave me some chips on the house to rectify the situation so I appreciated that. The Fright Flight was very good. There are clearly ones that were better than the others. The Chili-Lupa, Carnage Asada, and the Double Diablo were very good. I think they all utilized a seasoned crumb so it didn't feel too far off from ground meat. It was seasoned very well, and very well-balanced in flavors. The other two, Buffalofu and Tofu Terror V2, were okay. The flavors were decent, but the texture of the tofu wasn't that pleasant. We've had good tofu before at other establishments, so we know what the texture can be like and so we knew what the texture could've been. I think if they improved the texture (it was a bit dry and crumbly, and not as tender as tofu can be), those tacos could be very good. As for the birria bowl, I think it was decent, but I think it could use a little more salt and heat. Overall, I didn't think it tasted that much like birria, but it was decent. Overall, despite a rough start, I think 3/5 tacos of the flight are very good. I would definitely come back and give it another try - the other tacos on the menu sound very good! 4/5 stars. ”
“ Terror Tacos is a spooky little vegan taco shop on South Grand. I appreciate the dedication to a good theme. The store is decorated with lots of references to horror movies - with posters and portraits of thrillers and monsters, various statues and figures, cobwebs and antique-looking chandeliers, and dripping paint down the walls, you even have the option to dine with a skeleton. The staff was very nice and greeted us immediately upon entering and would check on us periodically as we dined in. As for the food, Terror Tacos specializes in vegan tacos, burritos, and nachos which is a great option if you are looking for some plant-based offerings. The food was good, but I wouldn't be dying (get it) to come back so soon. I ordered the Carnage-Asada and Tofu Terror Tacos and split a side of chips and guacamole. I liked the tofu taco the most - the tofu was seasoned well and had a nice texture to it. The chips and guacamole were pretty standard. The Carnage-Asada taco was more spice than any other seasoning so if I came back I would probably try something else. Overall, I would give Terror Tacos a try if you're looking for a restaurant with a fun theme and vegan offerings. ”
“ Highly recommend Terror Tacos happy hour! My coworkers and I enjoyed the Taco Tuesday deals of $2 tequila shots, $5 margaritas, and discounted tacos. Nothing but good vibes! Friendly staff, quick service, good vegan food, delicious drinks, and a spooky ambiance. I'll be headed back soon! ”
“ I came to Terror Tacos during the South Grand Dine Around and I'm surprised I haven't reviewed this place before because every time I come here the food is great! I got a 3 taco basic witch order and they were delicious. This is a great vegan restaurant for people who are nervous about trying vegan food. The decor/atmosphere is really fun too! ”
“ Terror Tacos has been in my radar for a while and we finally went last night! I didn't know it was as small as it is. There were four of us and when we got there we ended up having to sit at the high top communal table because that's all that was available. I don't like high top tables, but it was better than nothing. You can order at the counter or via QR at your table. My husband ordered our food and said the process was annoying, as did our friends. It's dark in there! People were using their phone flashlights to read the menu. And the music was loud so everyone was talking over it and it was a lot. After we ordered our food, a four top table opened up and we moved there. The cocktails came out after a little while. The food took much longer - maybe about an hour. There were people coming in for carry out orders. So even when it didn't seem there were many people in there after a while, they still had to go orders sprinkled in there. The food menu had peppers next to the menu items. The bigger the piece of pepper, the spicier. Another diner explained that to us. The tacos are a decent size. Two were plenty for me. If I were really hungry, I would maybe be able to eat two and a half. The tacos and the drinks were really good! I'd definitely go back! ”
